All skilled workers will be from January 2011 exempt from the six month labour ban. All other non-skilled workers would be needed to fulfill 2 years of employment before they to would be able to even change employer freely, without the requirement of a NOC. These changes must greatly increase the movement of the skilled work force but would continue to prohibit those without the needed education certificates. The changes come in conjunction to changes in fees for work permits and the decrease in length for which a work permit would be valid from three years to two years.

The above should not be confused however, with the twelve month employment bar that will still have effective, irrelevant of length of service or a NOC. This ban is placed on associates who violate their employment contract, such as leave a fixed term contract during it’s term.

These changes are essential to ensure that the labour market has the opportunity to spread their skills as necessary and to not penalize personnel who hope to move from companies whereby their treatment is far from perfect.

I am currently a single gal and it took me only about five minutes to create a list of over 60 qualities I don’t want in a future partner. I went over my list asking myself the question, “What do I want?” instead. The answers to that question allowed me to generate a list of qualities I would like in a partner. It was empowering and a lot of fun to get clarity!

The second step is to give your desire attention. Your job in the second step is simply to maintain a positive focus on your desire, knowing that as you do so the universe is aligning people and circumstances to match that vibration. You don’t have to know “how” exactly all of this will transpire for you. Let the universe do its job!

The all-important third Step is: Allow

You won’t reap the benefits of the first two steps unless you get the third step right, which is to allow or receive your desires. Esther and Jerry Hicks explain that there is an unending stream of abundance available to us. Our ability to accept the abundance that is always offered is where our challenges lie.

Imagine a river flowing downstream. When you are open to receiving your desires, you’re in your boat headed merrily downstream. (If you recall the lyrics of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” now, it’s actually a pretty deep philosophical song!) In fact, you could even choose to drop the oars and go with the flow. Step three has you going with the flow and enjoying the scenery along the way (even if the view was somewhat different than you thought it would be).

Tools to Reduce Doubt

Many people aren’t comfortable dropping the oars in their boat and going with the flow. What do your doubts sound like? Perhaps your inner critic tells you “I don’t deserve this,” “I’m going to be alone forever” or “I’m not good enough.” Doubt impedes your ability to receive because it sends out a negative vibration. You start to put your attention on what’s wrong and the Law of Attraction kicks in to give you more of what you’re putting your time and energy on. Not only are you gripping the oars, but you’re starting to head your boat upstream against the current.

The more you can reduce your doubt, the more powerfully and quickly you’ll be able to manifest your desires. People often get impatient with the gap between where they are now and where they want to go. They give up right before they cross the finish line. One way to handle your doubts is to become aware of your doubts or limiting beliefs. Treat the words “because” and “but” as big red flags. Anything you say or think after using those words is likely a version of your limited beliefs about yourself.

Reducing your doubt, even slightly, will make it easier for you to attract what you want. Esther Hicks advises you to “soften and reach for thoughts that bring you relief” as a way to gently turn your boat from “upstream” thoughts back into the downstream current. If you feel controlled by your limiting beliefs, hire a coach to do some internal emotional housecleaning with you. You can clear yourself of doubt by consciously collecting evidence that you are on the right track. Celebrate a stranger holding the door open for you or the unexpected check in the mail. There will be a lag time between articulating what you want and manifesting it in your reality but there will be signs along the way that you’re on track that can keep you fuelled and in a positive state of attention.

The third way to help you receive is gratitude. Take the time to feel deep appreciation and gratitude for your life as it is right now. Look at the people in your life, even the ones you don’t particularly like, and be grateful for the lessons you’ve learned and the relationships you’ve created.

Take Action!

1. What’s up, Doc? Over the next 7 days, keep a list of your doubts and limiting beliefs. Notice what thoughts come after you use the words because” or “but.”

2. Soften into Relief. Look at your limiting beliefs and ask yourself what thought could you choose instead of which would offer you relief. Are there any people in the world who have found happiness in life after divorce? Can you see yourself as in the process of being one of them? Write down a gentler thought that starts to turn your boat downstream.

3. Collect your evidence. Keep a list of all the positive people, circumstances and situations you start to encounter and celebrate your role in attracting them to you.

4. Take a Spiritual Vitamin. Give yourself a daily dose of gratitude by writing at least 10 things for which you are grateful.

In the United States, each state has its own system of corporate rules and regulations. The Numbers

According to Harvard Law School, there are “between 760,000 and 1,100,000” lawyers practicing in the United States as of 2007. On a basic level, corporate lawyers advise companies on the legality of operations, from legal obligations regarding transactions to the internal responsibilities like accounting and employee contracts. They facilitate transactions between corporations to ensure full legal compliance in their specific industries. As such, the corporate lawyer generally needs to be well versed in contract laws, licensing and tax laws. Is Law School Worth It Anymore

Personal anecdote: I have a friend, well call him Fletcher, who is considering enrolling in law school as soon as he finishes his undergraduate studies at Syracuse University. Ever since Ive known Fletcher, he has dreamed of pursuing a career in law. The field of law has changed over the years. At first he was looking to be a criminal defense attorney, one day he decided to pursue immigration law, then there was the year he thought he should specialize in copyright law. Right now, Fletcher is in ambition mode, and wants to primarily focus on constitutional law. That is he attends law school at all. His once unwavering enthusiasm has been somewhat tampered as his undergrad days come to a close. Many of his family friends have been working at steering him away from applying to law schools. Fletcher says he receives a few articles a week in his e-mail inbox from these people, all of which paint a gloomy outlook for law school students? Why, I asked myself and him. Shouldnt those who want to enroll in law school be encouraged? Sure, its a tough route, but doesnt it lead to one of the most lucrative careers an American possibly have?

The answer is that used to be true. That used to be true even as recently as 2007. That year was a record breaking year for law school graduates in search of employment. Many of these graduates were able to find entry level positions at some of the biggest law firms in the country, firms that offer a sizeable starting salary. This was the boom year. But like so many booms, a bust inevitably follows. This bust happened fairly quickly too. In March of 2012 alone, the legal industry lost close to 1,300. Thats on top of the staggering loss of jobs in 2011, which equated to 2,500. According to the National Association for Legal Career Professionals, only 87.6 of law school graduates are currently employed, the lowest that total has been since 1996. Of those currently employed, only 50.9% of them had careers at a law firm.

The decline in employment for law school students can be traced back to a few reasons. One of them is the general state of the American economy. The entire country is currently plagued by an unemployment epidemic. Even as jobs are steadily increasing, it is happening far too slowly. The unemployment rate has been slightly north of the 8% mark for the past year. The boom of 2007 is another reason that many recent law school graduates are having a terrible time finding work. Since so many of those top positions were filled only a few years back, the top candidates have been forced to seek employment at mid-level firms in smaller markets. This shakes all the way down to the mom and pop firms that employ two to ten attorneys. While graduates who are able to land jobs even at the latter firms are typically grateful to have been able to find employment at all, the salary is far lower than what they were anticipating on.

The looming problem for these graduates is the debt they are in the second they graduate. According to U.S. News & World Report, the average law school student graduates with a debt burden of $100,433, and this is a debt they have to start paying immediately. For a lot of recent graduates who cant find employment, paying the monthly fee is at best impossible. This exorbitant debt is largely attributed to the skyrocketing tuitions at law schools. Even schools listed in the bottom fourth of law schools have tuitions north of $37,000 per year.

People like my friend Fletcher are all of a sudden being dissuaded from pursuing law school. In the past, people have been dissuaded only because of the huge work load and a lack of passion. Rosenthal and his partner, Jacobson, gave a test to elementary school children in 1968. They told the teacher that the test measured the childs intelligence and some of the children were particularly gifted. The results that the teacher received were actually the locker numbers of the children. By the end of the school year, a second test was administered to the children and the vast majority lived up to the potential of the locker numbers. This shows that the way the teacher thought about the children reflected in their accomplishment.

Four: take at least one action each day toward getting rid of everything on your list.

As you get ride of what you dont want, make sure you are putting in their place what you do want. This includes not only new possessions when needed or wanted but also new ideas, attitudes, or behaviors.
